UNITEC’s Asia Pacific branch up and running
As previously published in The Connection, UNITEC has established a new branch to service both Australia and New Zealand from Melbourne.
UNITEC Asia Pacific is the name of the new branch operating in Melbourne. This internationally oriented Italian Group specialises in designing and making innovative technologies for fruit quality sorting and has been installing systems over the world for over 90 years; providing its customers with advanced solutions and the highest standards of reliability and profitability.
The new operating branch has been established with the objective of supporting UNITEC customers from Australia and New Zealand, providing them with excellent service.
UNITEC Asia Pacific adds to the 10 UNITEC operating branches all around the world, all in countries which have high potential for fruit and vegetables such as France, Sicily, Spain, The United States of America, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Turkey and Russia.
UNITEC Asia Pacific now aims to provide Australia and New Zealand with technological solutions to process and classify quality of a wide range of fruit in which UNITEC Group is specialized in. This includes; cherries, blueberries, apples, pears, kiwifruits, apricots, plums, peaches, and plenty more.
EQM hosted UNITEC’s appointed Asia Pacific Oceania Region representative; Benedetta Ricci Iamino, late last year. We took Benedetta on a tour of New Zealand’s premium growing regions – Hawke’s Bay, Bay of Plenty, Marlborough and Central Otago.
“Benedetta was impressed by the quality of New Zealand’s fruit as well as the desire of the industry to be at the forefront of technology, and she put this down to the fact that exporters wanted to ensure that due to the tyranny of distance from market, their products would arrive in the best condition and graded to the highest standards.”
UNITEC and EQM’s joint endeavor to help grow local New Zealand businesses by improving the quality of their work has been successful with the first complete, turn-key Cherry Vision sorting line already installed and with many more plans to come. “The UNITEC line can allow us to offer a quality guarantee that we will send to customers all over the world,” says Michael Stuart from CentralPac.
