28 Nov Unitec representative set for New Zealand tour
To celebrate the arrival of the first ever complete Unitec fruit packing line to be installed in NZ, EQM’s sales specialists are hitting the roads of New Zealand with the recently appointed Oceania Region representative Benedetta Ricci Iamino.
Unitec are world leaders in the design and manufacture of a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetable sorting and packing lines exporting systems all over the world.
In our last newsletter we announced EQM’s sales agreement with the Italian based company to introduce this new technology as turnkey production lines into New Zealand.
Unitec built its first sorter in 1924 and has had one sole objective – to help customers grow their businesses by improving the quality of their products and processes. In the last 10 years Unitec has developed cutting-edge technologies conceived, designed and made-to-measure for almost all types of fruit and vegetables from ‘A-Z’ in the alphabet, from apples and avocados to radishes to watermelons.
Its vision technology can identify the degree of ripeness, shape, dimensions, brix levels, internal and external defects, colour, weight and overall integrity.
EQM’s Anthony Bloxham said the two companies have already been involved in the development of a full turnkey Cherry vision sorting and packing facility in Cromwell, which will be commissioned while Benedetta is in New Zealand for the start of the 2017-18 Cherry season.
“While on tour we will be visiting customers in Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough and Central Otago from December 4-15 to talk to them about how Unitec can tailor their technology to suit how New Zealand needs to operate and comply with quality expectations in its export markets”.
Unitec has some amazing ground breaking patented technology that ensures that both bulk wholesale supply and retail ready packaging of fruit and produce is sorted and graded so that it remains in premium condition until it gets to market. They have also just released some new technology for the handling and sorting of apples in Europe which will be of particular interest to the growing New Zealand apple packing and exporting sector.
Although we have a busy schedule while Benedetta is here, if you would like to meet us, please contact us urgently on 0800 147 847 or email email@example.com.
