26 Jul Rain fails to dampen spirits
Heavy rain didn’t deter the horticultural sector coming together for the 2016 The National Horticultural Field Day held in Hastings recently.
Over 2000 people from within the sector attended the day and EQM had a prime spot near the hot coffee to showcase our labelling products.
Since the field day, EQM and many of the 50 odd exhibitors have been kept busy following up with attendees.
There is a positive mood in the air, with many exhibitors reporting great outcomes, despite the terrible weather.
Events Manager Anna Hamilton said “We have had a lot of enquiry since Friday, with exhibitors wanting to secure their sites for next year, some want even more space and we have had enquiry from people who missed the event this year but are keen to exhibit next year.”
A great outcome for the one-day horticultural event with evidence it will grow significantly again next year. Field Day organisers are now in the process of securing the date for 2017 and expanding the outdoor trade area to make room for the increased demand for space.
“It’s a very exciting time. For an event to have so much growth each year, and for there to be such a positive mood in the air with people clambering for space and wanting to be part of the action, its fantastic” says Anna.
In the next few months EQM will be at the big Auckland event, the Foodtech Packtech Expo from October 11-13.
We look forward catching up with you.
