06 Dec Running hot with rotary tables
One of our hottest and most diverse products in 2016 has been Rotary Tables.
As productivity has increased in many food facilities in New Zealand so has the need for rotary tables for accumulation.
To back up the increased interest in rotary tables, we have been following up many leads from our display unit at the Foodtech Packtech show.
Rotary tables are well known for their ability to speed up the packing process by providing product accumulation, but with a simple change they can also sort products so they can be feed on to a conveyor singularly.
For example, food producers can use a rotary table as a descrambler holding large quantities of bottles so they can be singulated and fed onto a conveyor line by itself and presented to be filled with product.
EQM Rotary tables come in three standard types– punnet and package, fruit collection, and bottle and container tables and all can be easily modified to suit specific customer requirements.
They can have high stainless steel sides, customised geardrives, stationary guide rails as well as being powder coated to match company branding.
The range of products that are being accumulated on EQM rotary tables has ranged from chocolate, dietary tablets, pouches and sachets, loose and bagged fruit and vegetables, strawberry punnets, honey jars, organic coffee and bakery products to name a few.
From a design perspective the tables are simple while they’re also cost effective, reduce labour and are operated from a single-phase supply.
