While at the Manufacturing Engineering Conference in Rotorua late last year Anthony was able to provide a solution for a claybird machine (trap) manufacturer.
Clay pigeon shooting, also known as clay target shooting is the art of shooting a firearm at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets. Clay pigeon shooting has at least 20 different forms of regulated competition called disciplines, although most can be grouped under the main headings of trap, skeet, and sporting.
The manufacturer was no longer able to source a low voltage motors and gearboxes, which was more of a domestic nature.
Anthony suggested a standard STM Gearbox and DAGU 12 volt dc motor which easily fitted in the existing frame of the thrower..
“It’s a much more reliable set up and it will perform much better as this geardrive is of industrial duty and quality.
