One of New Zealand’s largest bakeries is installing some new EQM Rotary tables that have been tailored for their specific needs.
The company had scheduled in a replacement programme for its rotary tables. They had seen the EQM Rotary Tables but were keen on a range of adaptions.
“They had seen a standard design which would fit well with their planned upgrade but they wanted a few modifications to make them more operator friendly and match their standard electric connections and installations”.
Some of the extra features they requested included more safety guards around the rotating parts such as idler wheels; an emergency stop button mounted at table top height so as to be easily accessible for the packer; a direct online starter with overload and start/stop buttons as well as an isolating switch; a special electric plug to match other factory equipment with all cables secured using metal detectable cable ties.
The motorised rotary table also had a lip around the stainless-steel table edge to help contain products when the table becomes full. EQM also tag and test for electrical safety, so these were supplied ready to be plugged in and required no additional contractors to assist with the install.
